According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, warm and moist air flows toward low pressure systems and fronts in the Sea of ​​Japan, and atmospheric conditions become unstable, especially in eastern and northern Japan, and rain clouds are developing locally.



In the hour before 5 pm on the 13th, heavy rain of 33 mm was observed in Nezugaseki, Tsuruoka City, Yamagata Prefecture, and the rain is getting stronger locally mainly in the Tohoku region.



Due to the cold air flowing into the sky, there is a risk of extremely heavy rain of 50 mm or more per hour with local lightning over the 14th in eastern and northern Japan.



The amount of rain in the 24 hours until the evening of the 14th is expected to be 150 mm in Tohoku, 120 mm in Kanto Koshin, and 70 mm in Hokuriku.



The Japan Meteorological Agency calls for careful attention to sediment-related disasters, inundation of low land, flooding of rivers, lightning strikes, and gusts such as tornadoes.
