The Emirati plastic artist, Ashwaq Abdullah, has always dreamed of moving her artistic works to which she devoted all her talent and creativity, before finally realizing her dream, and bringing her art to life through her latest art exhibition, the Digital Mabrouka Exhibition.

During the months of home quarantine and social distancing due to the spread of the Corona virus, Abdullah took the time to prepare her paintings, in order to organize her own art exhibition, but she felt the need to move away from the usual art exhibitions and present a new way in which people interact with works of art, and enjoy With it, and feel it to fully live the moment.

From here, and from her passion for videos and cartoons, came the idea of ​​launching a digital art exhibition, the first of its kind in the region, and the artist chose the title “Mabrouka”, a name given to old women for their blessings, wisdom and generosity, and she chose this. The name precisely because this special exhibition focuses on Emirati women, their originality and history.

For Abdullah, the history of Emirati women is indeed rich and worthy of appreciation, as their contributions are numerous in various fields, and in addition to caring for the family, Emirati women have had a role in moving economic activity in their society through the various trades and activities that they participate in in various desert, marine and mountain environments.

Emirati women have known many challenges and difficulties throughout their lives, from past years until today, and this is exactly what enabled Abdullah to translate her career into colors, shapes and inspirations full of difference and diversity.

"Mabrouka" exhibition used the visual interaction system technology for various artistic paintings, with a piece of music played by the composer Muhammad Al-Ahmad, where the artwork is reflected remotely through 10 hand-drawn paintings, in which Abdullah used watercolors and pastels, while dealing with multiple topics, most notably the woman waiting for sailors. And her struggle during their absence, handicrafts such as tali and khous, and Emirati women's adornments such as Emirati gold, in addition to the Emirati bride, and other topics that shed light on life and giving.

The artist has incorporated many details into her paintings that reflect hope, optimism and love of life, such as roses, for example, and sunflower plants.

As for the visual interaction system that accompanies the "Mabrouka" exhibition, Abdullah says that she worked to move the paintings so that people could feel them.

And just as in interactive live shows, this exhibition allows immersion in the world of paintings and wandering between them, as if we actually entered the paintings and touched with our hands what they offer, while enjoying the color spaces and contemplation of shapes, and this distinctive experience captures the senses in every sense of the word, while delighting the eyes and ears And inner intuition.

While the paintings cannot be sold at the present time, the artist confirms that the next stage will witness the display of her original paintings, to allow the public who love art and creativity the opportunity to acquire them among their preferences.

Ashwaq Abdullah is an Emirati plastic artist and designer, accompanied by her love for art and the creativity of her talent since childhood, especially since the age of seven, when she won a local art competition. Her in the world of art, through which she sends visual messages that reach the hearts and senses of the audience at the same time.

In her works that use different colors, styles and shapes, Abdullah focuses on a number of topics related to society, heritage, the UAE environment and others.
