On September 11, after 50 minutes of intensive construction, the key project of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Interconnection Rail Transit Project-Ganshen High-speed Railway Liucheng Dongjiang Bridge Crossing the Beijing-Kowloon Railway Continuous Girder successfully rotated, marking the impact on the subsequent laying of the Ganshen High-speed Railway The construction of the "stuck neck" project was successfully opened up.

The Liucheng Dongjiang Bridge, which has been rotated this time, is located next to the G205 National Road in Liucheng Township, Heyuan City. The bridge is 2600.76 meters long. It is the last turning bridge on the entire Ganshen high-speed railway line. The two-strand track of the Kowloon Railway has a main span of 108 meters and a total weight of more than 15,000 tons.

So far, more than 90% of the offline projects of the Ganshen high-speed rail line have been completed, and nearly 80% of the line beams have been completed. The project construction is speeding up and is expected to be completed and opened to traffic in 2021.

The Ganshen high-speed railway is the southernmost section of the Beijing-Kowloon high-speed railway. The line runs through five cities in Jiangxi and Guangdong provinces, including Ganzhou, Heyuan, Huizhou, Dongguan, and Shenzhen. The main line is 432 kilometers long and the designed maximum speed is 350 kilometers per hour.

After the completion of the Ganshen high-speed rail, Heyuan will end the history of no high-speed rail, so as to realize the goal of "high-speed rail between cities and cities" in Guangdong, and help build a "Great Bay Area on the track".
