A good job is right in front of you, but the premise is that in order to meet the requirements of the job, you must first take a loan for cosmetic surgery, loan or not?
The "beauty loan", a variant of "routine loan", has attracted many young job seekers.
The "beauty loan" in the "routine loan" refers to the illegal and criminal behavior of recruiting gangs and medical beauty institutions, using high-paid jobs that require a good appearance as a bait to trick young women seeking jobs into plastic surgery, thereby defrauding the cost of beauty plastic surgery loans.
In the process, the recruitment gang and the beauty hospital cooperated with each other to form a complete crime chain through recruitment, plastic surgery, loans and other links.
A reporter from the "Rules of Law Daily" learned from the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau that after careful work in the early stage, the Beijing police recently dispatched more than 30 arrest teams to destroy more than 10 recruiting "beauty loan" fraud criminal gangs, and criminally detained 123 suspects. .
Gullible high-paying job search is not a debt
In December 2019, Li Xue (pseudonym), a university graduate, posted a job resume online.
Subsequently, Li Xue received a recruitment invitation.
The other party said that she could introduce her to the position of assistant to the general manager. The monthly salary is as high as 80,000 yuan, but this position has certain requirements on appearance. Li Xue's nose is a little short, and she needs to find a hospital to put her nose on a pad.
Seeing that Li Xue hesitated about the cost of plastic surgery, the other party said that Li Xue did not need to pay for the plastic surgery cost. He only needed to apply for a loan on the online loan platform, and all expenses would be reimbursed by the company.
Believe that it is true, Li Xue came to the medical beauty clinic designated by the other party and quoted 35,800 yuan for a slightly trimmed nose.
With the "help" of a man who claimed to be a loan reviewer, Li Xue applied for a loan line of 30,000 yuan on an online loan app.
Seeing the loan amount applied for, the staff of the beauty salon immediately stated that they could discount the operation fee to 30,000 yuan and "helped" Li Xue to fabricate a work unit and obtain the loan.
Li Xue used the loan to successfully perform cosmetic surgery in the beauty salon.
Unexpectedly, after the operation, the interviewer changed his enthusiasm before, and perfunctory about Li Xue's entry, even not answering the phone.
After more than a month, when Li Xue asked about the job again, the interviewer insulted Li Xue, saying that she could be introduced to "sleep with her" to earn money if she lacked money.
At this time, Li Xue discovered that he had been cheated, and immediately called 110 to report to the police.
The police intervened to destroy the criminal gang in one fell swoop
The mobile investigation team of the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau comprehensively sorted out the police situation and found that since this year, the city's recruitment fraud has occurred from time to time, especially the high-paying job to lure job-seekers into plastic surgery and induce loan fraud that has attracted the attention of the police.
The Mobile Investigation Corps immediately, in conjunction with the Municipal Bureau of Legal Affairs, Network Security Corps and Chaoyang Sub-bureau, mobilized elite police forces to set up a task force to conduct investigations in an all-round way.
The task force conducted a return visit to the relevant parties and comprehensively sorted out the fund flow of the criminal gang, and quickly found out that Li, Chen, Zhao and others were engaged in the "medical beauty phased recruitment and beauty" in Chaoyang, Haidian and other places in Beijing. More than 10 intermediary groups and individuals involved in fraud crimes involving 9 medical institutions including Beijing Oscar Medical Beauty and Effie Medical Beauty.
After mastering the organization structure of the fraud gang, the division of labor and the process of committing crimes, the task force studied and formulated a detailed arrest plan.
On August 13, the Beijing police dispatched more than 30 arrest teams to simultaneously arrest members of fraud gangs in Beijing, Shanghai, Shandong, Henan, Hebei and other places, and attacked more than 10 “jobs and beauty loan” fraud gangs and individuals. Carried out precise strikes and checked 9 medical beauty institutions involved in the case.
Up to now, a total of 123 criminal suspects have been detained, of which 60 are members of fraud gangs and 63 are staff of medical beauty institutions.
The case is under further investigation.
It only takes a few steps for the victim to fall into the "beauty loan"
According to the police of the task force, in this case, the suspects set up bureaus at different levels, and after a few steps, the victim would fall into the trap of "beauty loan".
The first is to use "high-paying recruitment and reimbursement of road expenses" as a bait to publish false advertisements and arrange special personnel to communicate with applicants.
After defrauding the trust, he introduced positions such as assistant to the general manager, personal secretary, and promised a monthly salary of about 100,000 yuan to lure candidates to come for an interview.
They instilled that only through plastic surgery to enhance their image can they get high-end jobs and high salaries, and informed the company that the company has a cooperative cosmetic surgery hospital that can provide plastic surgery services to the applicants at a preferential price.
Subsequently, the gang involved used full reimbursement as a false promise to coax the victim to accept the plastic surgery plan.
The gang members lead the applicants to the plastic surgery hospital in the name of the interviewer, and the "cooperative doctor" conducts face-to-face consultation and quotes. The plastic surgery cost is much higher than the market price.
The "interviewer" proposed that the applicant should take the loan first, and verbally promised that the plastic surgery fee would be reimbursed in full by the company, inducing the applicant to accept the online loan, and there will be someone to help the applicant handle the loan.
Next, the gang involved will assist the victim in falsifying information and obtaining loans by fraud.
They take advantage of the lack of strict qualification review on some online lending platforms to help applicants who do not originally have loan qualifications forge personal information and increase credit lines to defraud loans.
If it is unsuccessful, change the platform and try repeatedly until the loan is successful, and the loaned funds are directly deposited into the account of the plastic surgery hospital from the online loan platform.
Beauty agencies and recruitment gangs are divided according to the agreed ratio in advance. Generally, the recruitment gang is three to four times that of beauty agencies.
After the applicant completed the operation, the "interviewer" initially refused to honor the job by "waiting for news" and not answering the phone, and later insulted and discredited the applicant with vulgar and bad language such as "accompanying the client" and "sleeping" to provide the job. Force it to give up on its own.
Don’t be greedy for a job
In recent years, with the continuous deepening of the crackdown by the public security organs, criminal suspects have continued to fabricate and design various new routines in order to avoid attacks.
The "beauty loan" for recruitment by the Beijing police this time is a manifestation of "routine loan" fraud.
The reporter learned that in this type of fraud, some of the victims were heavily in debt after being defrauded, and some also got into trouble in their work and life due to the failure of plastic surgery, and may even induce other illegal and criminal behaviors. The social impact is very bad.
In this case, the victim became an accomplice of a criminal gang after being deceived, helping the criminal suspect to introduce customers, sharing profits from it, and turning the victim into a criminal suspect.
So, how to prevent "routine loans" such as "beauty loans" in job hunting?
The police reminded that when applying for a job online, you should choose carefully according to your own situation. You should be vigilant about recruiting positions that exaggerate salary levels and set prerequisites for employment. Don't believe it easily, lest you fall into a scam and cause losses.
In addition, the Beijing police also reminded job-seekers to apply through formal and legal channels when applying for loans, and beware of being deceived.
The Beijing police will continue to maintain a high-pressure crackdown and resolutely crack down on all kinds of "routine" fraud crimes.
