Konchalovsky's film won a special prize at the Venice Film Festival

This was announced by an international jury led by actress Cate Blanchett. 

Receiving the award, the director thanked his “colleague and wife, Julia Vysotskaya,” who played the main role in the film.

The film "Dear Comrades" is dedicated to the 1962 shooting in Novocherkassk.

Konchalovsky received two Silver Lions for the paintings White Nights of the Postman Alexei Tryapitsyn (2014) and Paradise (2016), as well as the Grand Prix for The House of Fools (2002).

Earlier film critic, film expert, TV presenter Yekaterina Mtsituridze commented on the screening of the film "Dear Comrades!"
