The coronavirus is spreading again in France, and schools are not spared, in Haute-Garonne as elsewhere.

At the end of the first two weeks of classes, 151 schools are affected by Covid-19, according to a joint press release from the prefecture, the Toulouse Academy, the Occitanie Regional Health Agency (ARS) and the Department of Departmental Services for National Education (DSDEN).

In detail, these are 87 nursery or primary schools, 32 colleges and 32 high schools.

Three schools are even completely closed for the moment: the Mirabeau kindergartens in Tournefeuille and Angela-Davis in Ramonville, in the Toulouse suburbs, as well as the school of Saint-Ignan, a small town of 230 inhabitants in the Comminges.

85 classes were closed: 71 in schools, nine in secondary schools and five in high schools.

A departmental health unit has been set up by the DSDEN since Monday to help school heads manage cases in their establishments.

In addition, parents are advised not to put their children to school in the event of a fever above 38 ° C or the appearance of symptoms reminiscent of Covid-19 in the student or in his family.
