While already on Wednesday, the prefect of the Alpes-Maritimes, Bernard Gonzalez, had reinforced health measures, in order to limit the spread of Covid-19 by the early closure of restaurants and "drinking establishments", another order comes extend the obligation to wear a mask.

From now on, protection is "compulsory in all public spaces, public places, and / or accessible to the public in the following municipalities: Nice, Cannes, Antibes, Cagnes-sur-Mer, Grasse, Le Cannet, Menton, Saint-Laurent-du-Var, Vallauris, Mandelieu-la-Napoule, Mougins, Vence, Villeneuve-Loubet, Beausoleil, Valbonne, Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, Carros, la Trinité ”, indicates the text.

The measure is valid every day between 8 a.m. and 1 a.m. and offenders are liable to a fine of 135 euros.

Wearing a mask is also compulsory in markets, fairs, flea markets and garage sales throughout the department.
