Why this book?

• Because it's a crazy, hilarious fantasy thriller.

  Esther Parmentier is a young 19-year-old woman who is completely bored in an accounting internship and who, overnight, will learn that she is a witch (mediocre) and will join the Agency for the Control and Detection of Creatures ( yes, ACDC), as an intern.

• Because the author offers us a gallery of surprising characters

  and even has the luxury of dusting off (dare I say de-tackling?) The cliché of the sexy and sullen vampire by modernizing everything.

  The fine team made up of a witch, a vampire, a jinn, a banshee, a werewolf, a ghoul and a ghost will investigate mysterious disappearances.

  Despite a partner who rejects her bluntly, the heroine will be determined to prove herself (to prevent new victims, of course, but also to close the valve on Agent Loan…).

• Because this novel is a mine of twisting quotes

  belched by a heroine with whom, for once, we can really identify.

  This imperfect big mouth with a slight hair in the hand, a brilliant analytical mind and a passion for video games, will make you laugh more than once.

  His heated exchanges with his work partner may be distasteful and terribly frustrating to them, but absolutely delectable to the reader.
