The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology says that it is necessary to urgently improve the terminals for each elementary and junior high school student.

In response to the spread of the new virus, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology surveyed 1811 local governments nationwide about the situation as of the end of last month regarding the response to children and students who do not have an internet environment such as no personal computer at home.



As a result, there are 520 local governments that support all children and students who do not have an ICT environment, such as renting out PCs, and 93 that support the final grade, and 34% have taken some measures. It turns out that it stays at.



In addition, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology is currently advancing the initial four-year plan by the end of this year in order to accelerate the maintenance of terminals for each elementary and junior high school student, but by the end of last month, terminals such as personal computers will be available at school. Was delivered to 37 local governments, which is 2% of the total.



Regarding future delivery schedules, 27% answered that they would finish by the end of the year, and 70% of the local governments said that they would finish by the end of the year after the beginning of the year.
