The Hazan family is back in business!

Season 2 of the

stoner comedy made in

France

Family Business

is online this Friday on Netflix.

Joseph, who had involved his whole tribe in cannabis trafficking last season, wants to try to stop them ... The pretext for new incredible confusion and the opportunity to find Gérard Darmon and Jonathan Cohen, father and son on the screen, friends in life.

The two actors have kindly accepted for

20 Minutes

to lend themselves to the game of an interview with the hovering lexicon.

All to meet on the set of season 2 of “Family Business”, was it a good treat?

Gérard Darmon:

It was not a good kif, but a very big kif!

It's the joy of being with people you love.

First of all, they are magnificent natures and absolutely fantastic actors, and then they are people with whom we know that there will be no cover problems that get out of hand.

And at the head of all this, Igor Gotesman, the director, sets the tone with his ardor, his youth, his bad faith and his humor.

We get to know each other from season to season.

The second was particularly difficult to shoot but we are so happy when we see the result!

Jonathan Cohen:

It's a huge kif to find people for a season 2 with whom we are already very close.

I am happy to put the cover back with this new story and all these adventures.

We stick together, because as Gérard says, it was super hard and intense.

Does the success of season 1 freak out when you do season 2?

GD:

Freak out, no!

I know that the success of this series has bothered more than one, some are waiting for us at the turn for season 2. They will inevitably find season 2 much worse than 1. There is nothing we can do about it!

It does not matter, each to their own.

On the other hand, we will perhaps gain an audience that has not yet seen season 1, and who will do both because they will hear about the series.

JC:

It always puts pressure on the writers, the director and even on us.

We are happy with season 1, we love our characters.

So, what are we going to bring new in this family's adventures?

Igor Gotesman and the authors did a great job.

They have put this family in even more embarrassment and real danger.

I think this is the way to go and that the season keeps all its promises!

The writers still left in a big delirium with this season 2 and they put the dose, right?

JC:

They really put the dose!

It was necessary.

They increased the stakes, the situations… These 6 episodes are intense for all the characters.

As a spectator, I like to be tossed about and ask myself, “When is this going to end?

"," How are they going to get by?

»Igor Gotesman managed to push the sliders and suddenly, we don't have time to breathe!

GD:

I agree.

There are no strings, no tricks, no putasseries.

There is a probity, a real intellectual honesty.

We did not use everything that we liked in the first season to develop the arch.

It is really a completely original story which is crossed out elsewhere.

What strikes you when you see the other play?

JC:

Gérard doesn't play, it's impressive!

It's not sycophancy, but Gérard is a huge actor who can play anything.

In season 2, there is a scene where he makes me cry.

He upsets me as much as he makes me laugh out loud.

It has all the timings of comedy and drama.

He is always in a truth.

Playing with him is a chance.

He's also one of the funniest people I know!

Gérard, I do not consider him as a surrogate father, he is my friend, my friend.

He's 25 years old in his head.

It's just a pleasure to tour with him, to laugh and at the same time to see the rigor he has in the work.

I am a spectator of Gérard all the time.

This will pass for sycophancy and it pisses me off, because I say it sincerely: for me, Gérard, he is one of the greatest actors of his generation.

GD:

What do you mean after that?

JC:

Gégé, you don't have to answer the same thing, I'm not at your stage!

I learn by seeing you, even if we carry each other every day, I tell you frankly.

GD:

You don't have much to learn.

There is simply life and time that will pass over you.

The essential, you have it, oh how!

And it's still really in the making, frankly.

You see, when we talk about things this sincere and intimate, we immediately have the tears that come.

(very moved)

Okay, I'm not going to cry talking about Jonathan!

JC:

It would be crazy!

GD:

He knows so much what's going on in my head and I know so much what's going on in his.

Nothing can happen to us.

We can have moments… But the age difference means that he quickly passes the sponge and I forgive quickly too.

In terms of pure talent, fun, acting, it's a very big!

Just look at his journey.

I always have a kind of projection when I see it.

Indeed, he is not my son, but he could have been because I find that physically I find him a kind of ...

JC:

That's right!

GD:

We had practically the same fathers, we were brought up in the same way.

We find ourselves very much in our traditions, our way of seeing the life of our parents whom we adore and who dedicate an infinite love to us.

It brings us very close!

And on a professional level, there is also an honesty.

He gives himself, in front of or behind the camera.

There is a look, of invention, of fun.

I'm not saying that to flog you, you know that's what I think.

And when you have a partner like him, you have to return the ball.

JC:

Thanks buddy, you're a sweetheart!

What was your worst dirty trip on set?

JC:

The cold screwed us up!

GD:

Honestly, I wouldn't have liked to be in your shoes when we shot the frozen lake scene!

The cold on this series was a disruptive element and at the same time it brought us closer together.

What is the scene or the line that strikes the most in this new season?

JC:

There are valves per kilometer.

I will be unable to answer you, but there is a good chance that it is a line of Clementine, played by Louise Coldefy.

She is very high up anyway!

GD:

Yes, but some are from you too, Olive has a lot like Ali too.

Have you already dealt season 3?

JC:

Yes!

I'm going to spoil it a bit, but that's okay.

It is possible that we cross shackles with

La Casa de Papel.

Netflix is going to be mad at me, but it is possible that it will result in a global series like

La Family Casa del Business

… We are working on the formulation internally, but I cannot say more

(laughs).

What are your next plans?

GD:

There is

Brutus vs Caesar.

I am currently filming

King

by David Moreau.

In the coming months, I will be making cuckoos in films, in that of my friend Jérôme Commandeur and also one with Claude Lelouch.

All this will bring me to January where I hope we will shoot season 3 of

Family Business

.

And I finished writing my only one on stage.

JC:

You finished it, it's not true!

Great, I'm so happy!

This is so good!

I can not wait to see it !

Because of the Covid, everything suddenly tightened and all of a sudden, I have a big news.

It's cool, because these are projects that I love.

There is

Enorme

at the cinema,

Family Business

and in October,

La Flamme

on Canal +.

It's a series I'm very proud of and can't wait to show!
