In response to a series of murder cases using western-style bows and bogans all over the country, the National Police Agency has heard opinions from experts and has decided to proceed with the study, including restricting possession by law.

In June this year, 32 cases of Bogan being used have occurred in Takarazuka City, Hyogo Prefecture, including three people being killed by Bogan in the past 10 years.

Unlike guns and swords, Bogun is currently out of regulation by law, and the National Police Agency has set up a study group by experts to discuss possession and use.

Some local governments have already banned sales to people under the age of 18, but there are voices saying that the measures are insufficient, while regulations from popular groups such as competitions using Bogan are restricted. There is also concern over the growing concern.

The study group will hold its first meeting on the 23rd of this month and will make concrete conclusions within the year.
