China News Service reporter Kan Li

"Ms. Li, we have started school, and everyone missed you very much." On the eve of Teacher's Day, Li Qian, a "post-95" female teacher in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, heard the immature voice of a mountain student hundreds of kilometers away from her cell phone.

At the end of the phone, Li Qianzhi taught Wang Yuying, a student at Wayaogou Township Central Primary School, Lushi County, Sanmenxia City, Henan Province.

It was the mid-winter season, and Li Qian used one month's salary to purchase "heart-warming" gloves for 422 students including Wang Yuying.

When I received the call, it was just over two months before Li Qian finished teaching in the mountains.

For more than two months, Li Qian has been thinking about the group of "babies in the mountains" more than 400 kilometers away.

Li Qian said, "The one year and two months spent with the children in the mountainous area is an experience I will never forget."

In June 2018, Li Qian graduated from Shangqiu Normal University. After graduating from a family of teachers, she resolutely chose the teaching profession and entered the Dongfeng Road Primary School in Huiji District, Zhengzhou City. She signed up for support teaching in the second year of employment.

Speaking of the original intention of signing up for the counterpart assistance education in May last year, she bluntly said, "I didn't think too much, but felt that I would do something while I was young and unconcerned. After receiving the notification from the relevant department to assist Lushi County. , I signed up immediately."

It only took three days from registration to departure. Li Qian had no time to consider what kind of living and working environment he would face. However, there were only a few changes of clothes, lesson plans and teaching aids.

Li Qian said that what I thought most at the time was how to impart knowledge to children in mountainous areas.

"Jiugou and 18cha, Chacha has people." After Li Qian arrived at Wayaogou Township, Lushi County, where she taught, she discovered that Wayaogou Township, which is located deep in the mountain at the junction of Henan and Shaanxi provinces, has inconvenient transportation and information. The occlusion also restricts the development of local education to a certain extent. There is only one formed elementary school, nine teaching sites and one township middle school in the 14 administrative villages of Wayaogou Township.

Li Qian said that due to the backward teaching conditions in the local area, young teachers and high-quality students have been severely lost. Nearly one-third of the students in Wayaogou Township are left-behind children.

"When I first arrived at Wayaogou Central Primary School, I saw a strong desire for knowledge in the eyes of the children." Li Qian told reporters that after she showed the pictures of schools in the city to the children in the mountains, her enviable eyes made her unforgettable. .

During the teaching support period, in order to let the mountain children spend a happy Children's Day, Li Qian contacted and funded the two classes, a total of 90 students, each made a cultural T-shirt as a gift.

In the middle of winter, the mountain area is much colder than the city. Li Qian saw it hurt in her eyes and decided to help the children.

"In December last year, Teacher Li used his one-month salary to buy gloves for 422 students in the school, so that the children can feel the warmth of winter." said Hu Tao, a teacher in the Moral Education Department of Wayaogou Township Central Primary School.

For those children whose parents went out to work, Li Qian used the weekend to visit home, and gradually "fighted" with these children and became very close.

“Some children’s home is far away from school. When they don’t go home on the weekends, they live in Teacher Li Qian’s dormitory. Some students have no money, so she will still pay.” Speaking of Li Qian, a teacher at Wayaogou Central Primary School They are full of praise.

It is understood that Li Qian is responsible for teaching English in two classes of third grade at Wayaogou Township Central Primary School, and is also responsible for teaching ethics and legal system in one class of fourth grade. There are 25 classes a week, as well as morning and evening classes. Self-study, high work intensity.

After hard work, the English scores of the two classes taught by Li Qian ranked first in the rural elementary school group in Lushi County and seventh among all elementary schools in the county.

As a result, Li Qian won honorary titles such as "Outstanding Teacher in Lushi County in the 2018-2019 School Year" and "Excellent Teacher in Lushi County in the 2018-2019 School Year".

"Not only must students master solid knowledge, but also allow them to develop good behavior and study habits." said the relevant person in charge of Wayaogou Township Central Primary School in Lushi County. Li Qian innovated methods in teaching to make children burst into flames. A strong desire for knowledge.

The person in charge told reporters that Li Qian had just gone to Wayaogou Township Central Primary School and took an English test. A boy in the class named Lei Junxi scored only 46 points, and he could say that he knew nothing about English.

"After more than a month of meticulous teaching and tutoring by Teacher Li Qian, Lei Junxi's English score reached 94 points."

In July of this year, Li Qian left the Wayaogou Township Central Primary School after the expiration of his teaching support period.

"One year and two months of teaching support is a wonderful experience of my youth struggle." Li Qian said, the children in the mountainous area may be her most difficult concern.
