That Carlos Lesmes took advantage of his opening speech of the Judicial Year to urge the renewal of the judicial bodies was within what is relevant and foreseeable.

Lesmes' mandate as president of the General Council of the Judiciary has expired for two years and the anomaly threatens to be perpetuated after the PP's refusal to reissue the judicial exchange once again.

But in that time something has happened in Spain that was neither predictable nor pertinent:

the shameless process of partisan colonization of the institutions led by Sánchez

.

The appointment of Dolores Delgado to control the Prosecutor's Office - as Sánchez himself confessed in RNE - and the cohabitation with an anti-system party like Podemos further complicate the already ominous cake of the CGPJ.

Given the loaded judicial horizon that is coming, the party in power shows more interest than ever in the maintenance of a politicized Justice.

But for this she needs the PP.

Certainly, the PP has lent itself to flushing since the PSOE buried Montesquieu in the 1980s. And this despite the fact that it has led to the change in the system for appointing judges in its program - in the current one as well.

Only when Marchena resigned from being a bargaining chip after the embarrassing message of Cosidó

was

leaked,

did Casado agree to condition the renewal of the CGPJ on the depoliticization of the system

through legislative reform.

The truth is that PP and PSOE have continued negotiating until this August, when Casado suspended contacts.

Beyond Sánchez's disloyalty when filtering the alleged content of his private messages with the opposition leader,

the PP cites the presence of Podemos in the Government as the main obstacle

.

A party accused of corruption, which proclaims the need to overthrow the Monarchy, has expressed its vocation of ideological submission of the judges and attacks them when they do not bend.

Far is that Podemos that in January 2018 agreed with Cs -which maintains coherence- in the need to depoliticize Justice;

the motion of censure would soon arrive, and the regenerationist desire of the Churches party faded as the expectation of power approached.

The PP must withstand pressure.

Sánchez is unused to his wish being carried out in spite of any institutional decorum.

From the sole administrator of RTVE to the National Commission of Markets and Competition, at whose head Sánchez placed a lawyer from her cabinet;

from the demotion of the Tezanos CIS to a socialist propaganda agency to placing a chief of staff at the Post Office;

from the leadership of the CNI - Sánchez broke the rule of agreeing on it with the leader of the opposition - to the plugs in Red Eléctrica or Enagás, through Aena and even EFE: Sánchez has the record of interference by democracy.

In June the Council of Europe once again made Spain ugly for not taking steps to withdraw the parties from the Judiciary.

The current blockade should be seen as

an opportunity to improve the quality and independence of our Justice

through a great constitutional agreement.

The time for the distribution of stickers in the CGPJ must come to an end.

Is the time.
