Monday morning, a man barely adult died, shot dead in his vehicle, and the young woman who accompanied him was seriously injured, in the Lalande district, north of Toulouse.

A few hours later, the prefect of Haute-Garonne Etienne Guyot called for "the strengthening of patrols and controls in neighborhoods particularly affected by the latest shootings and settling of scores".

In Les Izards, near Lalande, two men were killed in August, and several others were injured.

"Territory struggles"

In his press release, the prefect "recalls that many arrests have taken place following the dismantling of a drug trafficking network which has led to their disorganization and to territorial struggles".

The representative of the State promises that "the work undertaken relentlessly by the police will continue and gain momentum in the days and weeks to come".
