An indigenous case of dengue has been reported in the Var, says the Regional Health Agency (ARS) in a press release.
The sick person is a Dutch tourist who was infected during a stay in La Croix-Valmer.
She was diagnosed after returning from vacation.
"No link has been established with the indigenous cases recently identified in Nice," said the ARS in the same press release.
On Monday, the ARS reported in the Riviera capital of a "focus of indigenous cases" of this disease transmitted by the bite transmitted from a contaminated tiger mosquito.
