It is within the framework of the anti-vectorial interventions carried out around the first case that this second person was identified, confirming the circulation of the dengue virus in this area, ”notes the ARS.
Other suspected cases
The agency also specifies that "other suspected cases have been identified and are being investigated".
The first two confirmed, the only ones of the year for the moment in Paca, are indigenous, that is to say they concern people who have not traveled to a contaminated area in the 15 days preceding the appearance. symptoms.
In the event of sudden onset high fever, muscle or joint pain, eye pain, fatigue or even headaches, the ARS recommends “immediately consult your attending physician”.
It also encourages people to protect themselves from mosquito bites and to fight against their proliferation, in particular by eliminating stagnant water.
