“Marionette Girls” is the first Syrian-Emirati-Saudi comedy series

In Syria, the first phase of filming the first Saudi-Emirati Syrian comedy work (Girls of the Marionette), written by Rami Al-Madani, directed by Mukhlis Al-Saleh, and supervised by Tariq Maraachli.

The work talks about a social story, during which a group of girls is exposed to a series of traumatic events, where their rich father dies, and leaves behind a group of problems, to subject them to a precious life experience.

The star of the work, Amal Arafa, expressed her happiness with participating, and said: "The work is wonderful and very beautiful, as it brings comedy stars together in Syria, and is an opportunity to restore the luster of Syrian comedy that presented works that are still stuck in the minds of observers."

For his part, the star Ayman Reda praised the idea of ​​the work based on a series of social events presented with a pleasant comic character, considering that the presence of an elite group of the brightest comedy stars constitutes a moral boost to work.

He said: “(Marionette Girls) is a comic work that reminds us of a fun comedy. We are used to seeing it in Syrian dramas, because the text is wonderful, and the ideas are beautiful, and presented in a way close to the heart of the follower, and I hope it will find success among the Arab viewer.”

For his part, the executive director of the project, Hussam Labash, said, "The work is important in terms of comedy and drama, and is presented in a manner that is far from vulgar, and light on the viewer. We worked carefully on the text, to preserve the coherence between the Syrian, Saudi and Emirati comedies."

The work includes a group of Syrian drama stars, most notably Hussam Tahseen Bek, Amal Arafa, Ayman Reda, Salma Al-Masry, Safa Sultan, Andre Skaf, Muhammad Khair Al-Jarrah, Rawaa Yassin, Ruwad Aliyu, Rana Shamis, Radwan Kuntar, Nahed Al-Halabi, and Sahar Fawzi. While Al-Ashmal Company, which produces the work, will later reveal the stars of the UAE and Saudi Arabia participating in the series.
