Pierre Perret told Anne Roumanoff's microphone how General de Gaulle's wife called the ORTF to try (in vain) to have the song "Les jolies colonies de vacances" censored from the French airwaves.

INTERVIEW

From the flowery repertoire of Pierre Perret, this is not the song that we imagine the most likely to be censored.

In 1966, "Les jolies colonies de vacances" nevertheless drew the wrath of Yvonne de Gaulle, wife of the General and president of the Fourth and Fifth Republics between 1958 and 1969. A vain attempt, as explained by the singer of 86 years to Anne Roumanoff, in the program "It feels good".

General Charles "cushy" de Gaulle "in the know"

"'Pee in the sink', it stuck her, she did not know that we could piss in a sink", laughs Pierre Perret about Yvonne de Gaulle and the phrase of her song: "Yesterday I slipped off a chair peeing in the sink."

"She called Roland Dhordain (

then director of the ORTF, editor's note

), who was a friend, and she said to him 'Sir, WE would be you -' We 'because she put grandpa in the game - we you would be grateful if we no longer program this song which we consider to be the shame of France. '

I was knighted in three seconds. You realize, being the shame of France is a fabulous honor for such a cause! ”Continues Pierre Perret.
