From the high mountain tops, and between the rocks and valleys, springs of fresh and hot sulfur water flow throughout the year, some of which are used for irrigation of crops, and others for bathing and healing, in several locations in the Emirate of Fujairah.

Fujairah Adventure Center worked to rehabilitate these eyes to be tourist, treatment and entertainment destinations for tourists, as well as for recreation, camping and hospitalization purposes from some diseases, especially skin diseases.

The director of the center, Saeed Al-Maamari, said, “The emirate is rich in many mineral and sulfur water springs, and its abundance of water, temperature and quality varies, and due to the unique water springs in Fujairah with beautiful and picturesque natural sites, Fujairah Adventure Center has worked on rehabilitating and reviving the number of fresh and sulfur water springs in Various regions of Fujairah to support water tourism in the emirate ».

He explained that among those springs are Ain al-Sharriyah in the mountains of al-Tawyin region, and Ain al-Warriah in al-Bidiyah, Ain al-Khub, Ain Mleih, Ain Wadi, Ain Sahem, Ain Medduk, Al-Farfar, Ain El-Gouna, Ain Wadi Al-Abadla, and Ain Al-Ghamour, indicating that the work is still ongoing. To revive many of the water springs scattered in Fujairah, whose location is unknown to many people, as it is located in beautiful natural places with distinctive components.

Al-Maamari added that the water springs that the work was completed with have been known since ancient times among the people of the region, as they used to take advantage of the water of the sulfur springs and the fresh water of the eyes to restore their health and to heal with their hot waters because of the dissolved substances they contained, and because of their mineral properties.

For his part, citizen Muhammad Ali Al Yamahi said, “Some water springs in Fujairah are characterized by a high percentage of mineral salts in them, and people have used them since ancient times, and there are hot sulfur water springs that have been used by the people from ancient times to the present time in treating many diseases, especially skin Colds, joint and bone diseases ».
