According to Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City, the patient needs monthly medications that cost 2,600 dirhams for life, as the annual cost of her medication is 31,200 dirhams, and her son appeals to the good people to help her pay for her treatment.
The son of the patient narrated the story of his mother’s suffering, to “Emirates Today”, saying: “I live with members of my family in Abu Dhabi, and my mother is old and suffers from chronic diseases, including high blood pressure, diabetes, bladder stones, and stomach health problems. She was admitted to Shakhbout Medical City Hospital, and underwent medical examinations, and the results showed that she needed drugs for life, with a monthly cost of 2,600 dirhams.
He added: “My mother has a health insurance card, which covers 1500 dirhams annually only, and I have exhausted the amount in the card, which barely covers one month of her chronic treatment costs, and the other problem is that my financial capabilities are modest, and she does not allow me to do so, as I am the only provider for my family. It consists of 10 individuals, and I work in a private agency with a salary of 5000 dirhams, from which the sum of 3000 dirhams goes to rent the house, and the rest to the expenses and requirements of life, noting that I have a son of people of determination, and he needs care and special supplies, and I do not know what to do under the circumstances that I order How to arrange for my sick mother's treatment, or how to manage family expenses.
Therefore, I appeal to good people and people of merciful hearts to help me secure the costs of my sick mother's treatment. ”
