Nintendo launches new Mario Kart and turns your living room into a circuit

Mario Kart Tour, a game published by Nintendo on mobile, was launched in France on September 25, 2019. -

Nintendo has just announced this Thursday the release of a brand new Mario Kart opus.

Produced on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Marios Bros, it is a rather special game.

Indeed, Mario Kart Live Home Circuit will allow players to transform their living room into a real circuit thanks to “mixed reality”, a mix between the real and virtual world, reports the specialized media

Concretely, the game will be delivered with four plastic gates as well as a miniature kart in the colors of Mario or Luigi.

These elements must be placed in the environment in which the players wish to carry out their circuit.

Then, it will be necessary to pass the kart under the gates for the circuit to take shape on the Nintendo Switch.

Release October 16

Thanks to the camera on the plastic kart, the images of the real circuit are transmitted to the console and are therefore displayed on the screen.

The publisher has not forgotten to add virtual elements, such as opponents or racing bonuses, to make the Mario Kart experience as faithful as possible.

The release of this innovative game is announced for October 16 on Nintendo Switch and Switch Lite.

It will take 99 euros to get it with the four plastic gantries and the miniature kart, essential elements for playing.
