If you see that our warning light is on, it means that there is an ambulance carrying a critically ill patient, rushing to the People’s Hospital from the place of delivery.

Here is the general information of the patient. This is the vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, pulse, respiration, and oxygen saturation. This screen will show that the patient is somewhere, the ambulance is on Qianmen West Street, and this is an injured person. There are also some scores related to trauma.

[Explanation] An electronic screen connects the distance between the hospital and the ambulance.

Recently, Beijing has begun to deploy and construct an information connection platform for emergency medical care in the fore-hospital, and connect emergency medical care in the fore-hospital through information technology.

This platform is currently being piloted in the People's Hospital of Peking University. According to Wang Tianbing, the vice-president of the hospital, this initiative will greatly improve the efficiency of first aid.

In the past, after this patient arrived at the hospital, he actually started to ask for consultations in various disciplines after arriving at the hospital. If we complete the layout and application of the entire system, when this patient arrives in the emergency department, we already have a team of people waiting for the patient.

At the same time, if we have the patient's information, after the patient's condition arrives at the hospital in advance, there may be part of the preparation work, and the preparation time will be saved.

For example, we may have to push a ventilator, or a sputum suction device, then we may prepare this thing in advance.

[Explanation] Wang Tianbing said that for some critically ill patients, emergency work will be life-threatening one minute later. After the deployment of this system, patients can be treated within 40 minutes after being injured or sick.

The time to start the operation can be compressed within 40 minutes.

Because we can estimate that the entire pre-hospital emergency response time is 12 minutes, and the time for the patient to arrive at the hospital is within half an hour, so in fact, it can be rescued when it arrives at the hospital.

[Explanation] In addition, Wang Tianbing told reporters that the transmission of information is two-way, and the information from the hospital will also be transmitted to the ambulance simultaneously, so that the ambulance can send the patient to a hospital with sufficient treatment capacity and avoid secondary referrals.

The pre-hospital team also knows which hospital can accept the patient in terms of resources and staffing, and fundamentally solve the problem of secondary referral, because in the past sometimes (patients) were brought to People’s Hospital, People’s Hospital The beds are full and everyone is busy. The patient can't take it, so he has to move to other places.

[Explanation] Previously, the National Traumatology Center of Peking University People's Hospital has conducted years of research and hard work in the big data collection of trauma treatment and the information exchange of pre-hospital first aid.

Their experience shows that the combination of information technology and first aid can greatly reduce the fatality rate of critically traumatic patients.

Through this information platform and through the implementation of this project, we have dropped from a critical trauma mortality rate of more than 30% nationwide to about 20%.

In this way, a large number of patients' lives can be saved.
