[Explanation] On September 3, a hematopoietic stem cell donation operation was in progress at the General Hospital of Liuzhou Workers' Hospital in Guangxi.

The donor Dongdong (a pseudonym) lying on the bed is a firefighter, with his hands in the blood circulation tube, and hematopoietic stem cell suspension is collected by a blood cell separator.

To promote blood flow, he kept pinching the bouncy ball with his right hand, and his arms could not bend.

After 5 hours of donation, a total of 262ML of hematopoietic stem cell plasma suspension was collected, which will give a patient with aplastic anemia a second life.

　　[Explanation] Dongdong took blood donation as one of his coming-of-age gifts when he was 18 years old. On June 2, 2017, Dongdong, who was in his sophomore year, volunteered to join the Chinese bone marrow bank when he donated blood for free at school.

Three years later, on July 23, 2020, Dongdong received a matching physical examination notice from the Red Cross.

　　I checked a lot of information before I came here. Some people entered the library very early, and they have never had a chance or matching success. Some people want to donate and have no chance, so I think I'm still relatively lucky.

　　[Explanation] During the physical examination, the doctor found that Dongdong's uric acid was high, so Dongdong started a light diet and adjusted his body to the best condition.

　　So I prepared for 1 month, the diet was basically light, and I had never drunk alcohol.

For exercise, it is running, basically 5 kilometers, running 5 kilometers at a time, plus a little strength training.

　　【Explanation】Patients who accepted the donation presented Dongdong with pennants and wrote a letter of thanks.

The recipient was diagnosed with aplastic anemia in 2008. He has been treated for many years but his condition is still deteriorating. In 2020, he has been admitted to the emergency room many times.

Qi said in the letter, "Your appearance has made me see the light, and I am glad that I have met a kind person and let me regain my second life."

After the completion of this donation, Dongdong born in 1997 became the 10102th case nationwide and the 361st case in Guangxi.
