Beirut: The search for a possible survivor under the rubble of the port

Today, Lebanese media reported that, a month after the disaster of the Beirut Port explosion, information circulated about the possible presence of a survivor under the rubble of an apartment building in the Mar Mikhael area.

The Governor of Beirut, Marwan Abboud, announced that "the Chilean rescue team informed it that there were two people who could be alive under the rubble in Mar Mikhael," through signals sent by the "scanner" machine used by the team, according to the Lebanese newspaper "An-Nahar".

Currently, the Chilean teams are working in cooperation with the Lebanese rescue team to recover the body of one of the victims.

During the search process, one of the trained dogs was able to take part in lifting the rubble, sensing and detecting the presence of victims through the sense of smell, which required the introduction of a "scanner" machine dedicated to the detection of victims.
