Zhejiang "Cixi Dance Teacher Murdered in Downtown" Criminal Wu Yidong was executed

　　China News Service, Ningbo, September 1 (Reporter Li Dian) The reporter learned from the Intermediate People's Court of Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province that Wu Yidong, the offender of "Cixi Dance Teacher Murdered in Downtown", was executed on August 31.

　　After receiving the criminal ruling from the Supreme People’s Court, the Ningbo Intermediate People’s Court made an announcement to Wu Yidong and executed Wu Yidong’s death penalty on August 31, 2020 in accordance with the execution order issued by the President of the Supreme People’s Court.

The procuratorial organ dispatches personnel to supervise the scene according to law.

Before the execution of the death sentence, the Ningbo Intermediate People's Court arranged for Wu Yidong to meet with his close relatives in accordance with the law.

　　The Supreme People’s Court confirmed that the defendant Wu Yidong and the victim Chen Moumou (female, 22 years old) fell in love at the beginning of 2017, and later broke up due to a relationship discord.

At about 20 o'clock on August 1, 2018, Wu Yidong drove after Chen Moumou after get off work, and Chen Moumou got off the car in a commercial area in Cixi City and took refuge.

Wu Yidong brutally killed Chen XX and fled the scene, then went to the public security organ to surrender.

　　The Supreme People's Court reconsidered that the defendant Wu Yidong deliberately and illegally deprived others of his life, and his actions constituted the crime of intentional homicide.

Wu Yidong was unable to reconcile after breaking up with his lover. He premeditated revenge, followed the victim to the business district and carried a sharp knife to vent his anger in public, causing death, and the criminal motive was despicable, the methods were cruel, the plot and the consequences were serious, and he should be punished according to law.

The victim Chen Moumou had no fault in the case. Although Wu Yidong surrendered himself, it was not enough to be punished lightly.

The facts ascertained in the first instance judgment and the second instance ruling are clear, the evidence is reliable and sufficient, the conviction is accurate, and the sentence is appropriate.

The trial procedure was legal.

Accordingly, the Supreme People's Court approved the Zhejiang Higher People's Court to uphold the criminal ruling of the death penalty on the defendant Wu Yidong in the first instance.
