China News Service, Huzhou, September 1 (Shi Zinan, Song Yingjie) In front of a building in Chang'an Village, Heping Town, Changxing County, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province, one can often see an old man pushing a middle-aged man in a wheelchair on the open space. Turn around, this is Jing Koutang and her son Huang Cunyu.

When it comes to Jingkoutang, almost no one in the village knows.

Jing Koutang is 73 years old this year. The reason for her fame comes from the story of her taking care of her paralyzed son for decades.

Twenty years ago, his son Huang Cunyu became a vegetable in a car accident. Under the meticulous care of Jing Koutang, his son finally woke up, and now he can eat and wash his face alone.

Dating back to 1995, Jingkoutang still lived a carefree and happy life.

After his son returned to his hometown from the military, he worked stably. After marriage, he had a son, a family and He Meimei.

Unforeseen circumstances, an accident broke everything in this home.

One night in the winter of 1995, Huang Cunyu set off from home on a motorcycle due to night shifts. He collided with a car on the road and caused acute and severe head injuries. 70% of his ribs were broken, multiple fractures of the pelvis, lungs, liver, etc. Damage to multiple organs of the spleen.

"Patients are dying. You must be mentally prepared. You may not be able to wake up for a lifetime. Even if you wake up, you will become a vegetative person. There may also be complications such as lung infections, bedsores, and blood clots due to long-term bed rest." Listening to the doctor. Then, looking at his unconscious son lying in the ICU, Jing Koutang and his wife Huang Jinan sat slumped on the ground and cried.

Later, Huang Cunyu saved his life, but became a vegetable, and his parents took him back home to take care of him.

Seeing the condition of his son, Jing Koutang reluctantly persuaded his daughter-in-law to remarry, but Huang Jinan had to go out to work to earn money, and the heavy task of caring for his son fell to Jing Koutang alone.

Every day, Jingkoutang would dress his son, brush his teeth, wash his face, and follow the doctor's advice to help him turn over, massage, and take care of him.

In order to prevent her son from having an accident at home alone, she has never been to relatives or traveled far away for many years.

She believes that "water will always leave a mark when it is poured out, and there is hope as long as you persist."

One day in March 1999, after Jing Koutang gave his son a massage, he heard a few "um" sounds; a few months later, his son's fingers seemed to move.

Soon after, Huang Cunyu slowly became conscious from the physical reaction to the blinking and nodding of his head.

Until one day in 2000, Huang Cunyu who was lying on the bed made a difficult voice again.

"The call of'Mom' made me feel warm and mellow in my heart. I feel that the hardship I have suffered for so many years is worth it." Jing Koutang said, watching his son get better day by day, he felt a lot more relaxed.

Now, Huang Cunyu can not only wash his face and eat, but also count simple arithmetic problems.

"Jing Koutang awakened his vegetative son with love and created a miracle of life. No one expected her son to wake up." After learning the story of Jing Koutang and his son, the local government and villagers sighed at the same time. Give a helping hand.

At present, Huang Cunyu has applied for minimum living allowances and disability subsidies for Huang Cunyu.

This year, his son Huang Cunyu is 53 years old, and Jing Koutang is also 73 years old.

For decades, she wrote the name "maternal love" with persistence and selflessness.

But in her opinion, she is just doing what a mother should do.
