[Poverty alleviation story] Experts "fly" into the poor households in Daliangshan to see a doctor but cannot leave the mountain
There are 407 poor households with 1695 people in Zhongba Village, Luji Township, Xide County, Sichuan Liangshan Prefecture.
Due to the remoteness of the local area and the backward economy, medical resources are very scarce.
In the past, villagers had to spend half a day traveling to the county for medical treatment when they caught a cold.
In 2019, Foshan City, Guangdong Province assisted 3.7 million yuan to build a modern health center in Zhongba Village, effectively alleviating the shortage of local medical resources.
On September 1, in the Zhongba Village Health Center, orthopedic surgeon Sun Huizheng from the People's Hospital of Nanhai District, Foshan City, connected with experts from Foshan City Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine to conduct a remote consultation for a local poor patient.
Sun Hui introduced that there are currently 18 doctors from Foshan providing medical assistance in Xide County.
When local doctors encounter intractable diseases that cannot be handled, they can consult with them, and they can also consult experts from 5 Grade A hospitals in Foshan through the remote consultation system.
