The number of outbreaks of infection (or "clusters") under investigation has increased by 53 in 24 hours, to 378. For its part, the number of Covid-19 patients hospitalized in intensive care is increasing by 15 people , at 424.

Government's target of one million tests soon reached

The DGS also indicates that we are approaching the goal of one million tests set by the government: over the last 7 days, 976,812 tests have been carried out.

According to the DGS, the form that had to be completed on site at the laboratory can now be downloaded from the website of the Ministry of Health and completed upstream, "in order to facilitate screening".

The DGS recalls the importance of barrier measures

While the start of the school year took place on Tuesday, the DGS recalls the importance of barrier measures (hand washing, physical distance and "wearing a mask by middle school, high school and adult staff").

"At the slightest symptom (cough, and / or fever, and / or digestive disorders) children must be tested" and "in the event of a positive test, exclusion from the class is 7 days, which may be extended", underlines the DGS.

"The screening of an entire class is only justified in two cases: if the teacher or 2 children test positive. The class can be closed if at least 3 children are positive", she continues.
