Real fake diploma fake real diploma

For the past four years, Yue Shaorui, a Xinmi from Henan, has been hoping to retrieve his education.

She accidentally discovered in 2016 that the junior college diploma from Shangqiu Vocational College of Science and Technology she obtained in 2008 was actually related to other people's identity information.

For her, this graduation certificate, which is affixed with her own photo, stamped with the school's stamp and the principal's seal, was once checked on the China Higher Education Student Information Network (hereinafter referred to as "Xuexin.com") "equivalent to a fake certificate." .

Because the information does not match her, this diploma has caused her numerous troubles.

She applied for civil service examinations several times. Even if she passed the written examination, she would still fall into the qualification review and political review process.

In 2005, her former name Yue Xiaona entered the school. In the second semester of the first school year, she received a notice from the school that “the file could not be adjusted and the file needs to be rebuilt” and asked her to go to the police station and change her name to Yue Shaorui.

This situation is not an isolated case.

"China Youth Daily" reported on many imposter incidents at Shangqiu Vocational College of Science and Technology in 2010. An enrollment teacher of the school who signed "Conscience" revealed in a report letter sent to the newspaper that the school would teach them how to fiddle with enrollment. .

“It doesn’t matter whether you report to the school or not, and whether the score meets the national regulations (the score line), it doesn’t matter. Recruit them first. After you come in, there are various ways to balance the students.” The specific method is to mobilize students to go home and change their names. Signed up for the'dead file' who didn't come to school".

At the end of 2016, 11 students with similar problems including Yue Shaorui reported the situation to the Henan Provincial Department of Education.

The following year, Shangqiu Institute of Technology (Shangqiu Vocational College of Science and Technology was renamed Shangqiu Institute of Technology in 2011-Reporter's Note), on the grounds that they colluded with the admissions teacher and replaced them with an imposter, cancelled their diplomas.

Yue Shaorui couldn't accept this. She said: “Essentially, the school earns our tuition for more enrollment sources, and hides us from putting on us unused student status.” After that, she worked while insisting on reporting problems.

"We need to reverse the case. We need the school and the Department of Education to give us a degree, hold the school accountable, and return us innocence." She told reporters.

Weird name change

After the college entrance examination in 2005, Yue Xiaona felt that her grades were not satisfactory, and she had the idea of repeating her studies.

In Henan Province, the implementation of the post-examination assessment was still to fill in the volunteers. When she filled in the volunteers, the head teacher told her that she could fill in the Shangqiu Vocational College of Science and Technology. "At least it is a regular school with a particularly low score." The admissions staff of the school promoted it vigorously in her high school, and Yue Xiaona filled in the school.

In August of that year, Yue Xiaona received an acceptance letter from Shangqiu Vocational College of Science and Technology, majoring in computer network, with a three-year schooling period.

The email also contained an introduction material from the school. She clearly remembered that she had dialed the number of the admissions office on the information and confirmed that it was the school's official admission notice.

A month later, Yue Xiaona began her university life.

In the second semester, problems arose.

"The teacher at the school admissions office said,'Your archives cannot be transferred from the school'. We asked why. When we went to school, we always said which school we went to and where the archives followed. The teacher said there were many reasons for this failure. We had to check it specifically, but we really didn’t know where to check."

She remembered that the school provided students with a solution at that time, which was to change a name, "re-create the file with a new name, and it would not affect our student status."

She tried to refuse, but the school stated that she would not have a diploma if she did not change it.

The school issued a certificate to the effect that "it does not match the student's school name and needs to be changed." With the certificate, she returned to the police station in her hometown and changed her name to "Yue Shaorui" as required by the school.

The name change is not always so smooth.

Yue Shaorui's classmate Lu Ming (an alias at the request of the client) also received a request to change the school name. He asked his family to consult the police station in his hometown, and the reply was "cannot change."

He remembered that Xin Xuefeng, the director of the school’s admissions office at the time, gave him a permit for relocation, saying that he had to move his household registration to Shangqiu and then change his name, otherwise he could not graduate successfully.

Lu Ming sent home the permit for relocation and handed the household registration materials sent back by his family to Xin Xuefeng.

Not long after, he and a group of classmates went to a police station in Liangyuan District, Shangqiu City to apply for a new ID card. He also handed Xin Xuefeng 500 yuan "for name change". From then on, he became Lu Jiahao (a pseudonym).

After changing his name, Yue Shaorui continued to study at university until he graduated in June 2008. The counselor wrote the website of Xuexin.com on the blackboard and asked the students to log in with their ID numbers to check whether their graduation certificates were normal.

She remembered that when she logged on Xuexin.com for the first time, she saw that Yue Shaorui was born on November 12, 1986, "from September 2004 to July 2007, she studied in the three-year college of electronic information engineering at our school." Born on September 8, 1987, not only the date of birth, but also the time of major, enrollment and graduation were not consistent with his own. "At that time, I felt that the school was wrong."

Yue Shaorui found a counselor and received this explanation: “Many students are in this situation. The diploma is our real diploma, and it is recognized by the state if you can find it on the Xuexin website. The employers in the society depend on the level of education. Regardless of what the major is, most people are not in the right professional when they join the work. If you graduate a year earlier, you will have a year of work experience, so you can get a better job."

"We were stupid when we said it bluntly. We were very rebellious at home, but at school we still believed what the teacher said." Yue Shaorui said that she had looked for counselors, department heads, school admissions office, and even talked with the principal Ding Hua on the phone, Ding Huajian Said "As long as Xuexin.com can find it, there is no problem."

She had to accept this statement.

Not long after, she received a graduation certificate containing the above information, stamped with the seal of Shangqiu Vocational and Technical College and the name of the principal Ding Hua.

This diploma brought her constant troubles.

Employers often wonder when they see the documents she submitted. Why is the date of birth on the graduation certificate different from that on the ID card?

"I can only explain that my ID has always been this number, and that's how it was when the school issued the diploma. It can be found on Xuexin. It is recognized by the state."

Since 2012, Yue Shaorui has applied for civil servants several times, but after successful registration, she always failed the qualification review and political review, and she began to suspect that her academic qualifications had a problem.

  This suspicion was subsequently confirmed.

In order to improve her academic qualifications, she took the self-study exam for higher education.

After more than 3 years of study, in March 2016, she applied for a bachelor's degree and a bachelor's degree.

The examination school told her that the provincial Department of Education verified that the graduation certificate information did not match her ID card information, and the college degree and the undergraduate degree could not be connected.

She hurriedly used her identity information to register an account on Xuexin.com, but found that she could no longer find her college degree based on her ID number, but she could still find it based on her graduation certificate number.

On March 23, 2016, she found the school.

Shangqiu Vocational College of Science and Technology has been transformed into an undergraduate private university, Shangqiu Institute of Technology.

The Student Status Department of Shangqiu Institute of Technology issued a certificate for her, saying: “This is our school’s 2004 student Yue Shaorui who has expired and passed his grades. He obtained a college diploma in 2007. The certificate number is... ID number 410704... Later, he applied for a self-examination undergraduate (the student’s ID number was 410182 at the time of the 2008 National Information Census...), which caused a discrepancy with the ID number of the college diploma."

"This is to put all the responsibility on me personally." Yue Shaorui is not clear about the specific meaning of the "2008 National Information Census", and this proof did not solve her real problems, but the information in it made her realize that she The actual connection to his graduation certificate is likely to be another Yue Shaorui whose ID number starts with 410704 and lives in Xinxiang City, Henan Province.

She began to contact her classmates who had changed her name in the past to ask if the situation was the same.

Some classmates only realized the real problem behind their academic qualifications after receiving her call.

Because of the inconsistency in their academic information, some of them were unable to obtain a self-examination degree, some were unable to apply for the national accounting intermediate title examination, some were expelled when they were promoted in the financial system, and some were dismissed from public teacher positions.

Lu Ming also received a call from Yue Shaorui.

He inquired on Xuexin. The result made him feel incredible.

His graduation certificate shows that Lu Jiahao, who was born on July 19, 1987, graduated from Shangqiu Vocational College of Science and Technology Computer Network Technology in 2008.

But on Xuexin.com, it is not possible to query this graduation certificate based on the serial number.

According to his personal identification information, Lu Jiahao, who was born in 1988, obtained a five-year college degree from Shangqiu Institute of Technology in 2012 and entered the school in 2007.

According to a phone recording provided by Lu Ming, Xin Xuefeng, who has served as the assistant to the principal of the school, replied to him on the phone in 2016: "What happened to our school in 2010—the online impostor replaced that. All the students were checked. Now, you are very lucky. At that time, you checked it out early. When we saw that these students had problems with their graduation certificates, we started to solve them again. At least they now have a graduation certificate, and some schools don’t even have a graduation certificate. Up."

Lu Ming told reporters that the educational background caused him a lot of trouble.

"The date of birth on my college diploma is incorrect; the five-year college I found on the Xuexin website is not something I dare to use; if I want to use my previous diploma, I can’t use my name. changed".

"The school taught us how to fool students"

"What happened in the school in 2010" in Xin Xuefeng's mouth refers to the continuous report on the illegal enrollment of Shangqiu Vocational College of Science and Technology by the "China Youth Daily" from April 23, 2010.

A classmate said in an interview that there were more than 60 students in the class, and more than 20 of them modified their files.

After the incident was exposed, the school gave Guo Xinwen, who was directly responsible, expelled, and Su Cheng, who was in charge of enrollment and student management, and Xin Xuefeng, then Director of Admissions, were given administrative penalties for major demerits, and Zhang Guangyong, then director of the Student Office Demerited punishment.

In that year, the China Youth Daily also received a report letter signed "Conscience", and the informant was an admissions officer of Shangqiu Vocational College of Science and Technology.

The letter revealed: Every year before the college entrance examination, the school compiles various propaganda language for the admissions staff and teaches them how to fool students and teachers.

"Now when I think about it, I really feel that my conscience is condemned."

He said that some of the students who were fooled had arrived in their sophomore year, and the admissions officers had to do the work one by one, asking them to go home and change their names, and after the change, they would replace those "dead files" who had signed up and did not come to school.

A certain student was recruited in 2005 and should normally graduate in 2008. If he replaces the 2004 file, he will graduate in 2007. Everything in the school will proceed as normal. In 2007, the Ministry of Education's graduation certificate will be detained first. One year, it will be issued to students in 2008; firstly, because of worrying about sending it to the student council in advance, and secondly, another year of tuition can be collected.

This person provided a list of admissions for the 2006 grade of the school. The entire list contains 3323 people, of which 528 are marked with "k" and 881 are marked with "t".

He introduced that "t" means that the student needs to be adjusted, and "k" represents the gap ("dead file") that did not come to school to report to school, that is, the student's information with fake students on the top.

"This is the case in 2006, so there is no need to say more about other years."

At that time, the reporter contacted many students on this list.

These students searched the Xuexin website and found that they had multiple student status including Shangqiu Vocational College of Science and Technology.

"In fact, these people dealt with were just scapegoats, and the main body of the whole fraud incident was the school." The whistleblower said.

"Now the information age, fake ones are useless"

Now, Yue Shaorui believes that if she knows that there is a problem from the beginning, even if the admission line is low, she will not fill in.

"If the school explained this to us, after recruiting, it will use other people's files. Maybe many of us will not go."

After discovering the academic problem, Yue Shaorui and others began to contact the school to seek a solution, and submitted materials to the Henan Provincial Department of Education in 2016.

They also questioned, if someone else is associated with the student status at the beginning, why can they still use their ID card to log on to Xuexin.com when they graduate?

The school told Yue Shaorui that if she insisted on reporting to the top, her problematic diploma would also be unusable.

By July 2017, these students discovered that Shangqiu Institute of Technology had cancelled their diplomas on the grounds that they colluded with the admissions teacher.

Yue Shaorui didn't understand, "It's obviously the school's illegal enrollment problem."

A call recording provided to reporters by a graduate showed that Xin Xuefeng told her, “Your certificate can be fooled to make Yue Shaorui make trouble. The director and deputy director know, and now everything must be cancelled.”

"In the information age, fake ones are useless." Xin Xuefeng told me on the phone, "You go to the recruitment office to apply for higher vocational recruits for the youth of society and enter the Shangqiu Institute of Technology. This time, everything is true. When our school issues questions, the school changes the papers, and the score is relatively low, this will definitely pass. At that time, the tuition will be paid from my salary. You will still apply for the computer major for two years. I can coordinate for you and give you a final exam After you finish the exam, as long as our school can be the master, it will be easy to handle."

On February 9, 2018, the reporter Zeng followed Yue Shaorui to the Henan Provincial Department of Education.

The staff of the Letters and Visits Office of the department said that they had received their materials before and asked the Shangqiu Institute of Technology to investigate the matter.

Shangqiu Institute of Technology responded in writing to the Henan Provincial Department of Education: In the early days of the school, due to the insufficient enrollment system and inadequate supervision, the "China Youth Daily" twice reported imposters in April and May 2010.

The school attaches great importance to it. Through the admission information provided by the Henan Provincial Admissions Office, it has conducted a check on the Grade 4 students from 2003 to 2006 and cancelled the graduation certificates of 142 imposter students.

On July 19, 2010, the Provincial Department of Education reported the incident to the Student Department of the Ministry of Education and dealt with the relevant leaders at the time.

As for the incident in which the identity information of 11 graduates including Yue Shaorui did not match the graduation certificate, it was a "legacy problem caused by incomplete school inventory" that year.

The Henan Provincial Department of Education dealt with the school in 2017: reducing the enrollment plan by 300.

In the second year after being exposed to imposter phenomenon, Shangqiu Vocational College of Science and Technology was upgraded from a junior college to an undergraduate college.

A staff member of the Student Office of the Henan Provincial Department of Education stated that the students did not follow the normal admission channels of the province’s admissions office, and when they found out, they cancelled their school status.

After receiving the student's materials, the Education Department has sent a letter to the school ordering the school to investigate. According to the school's investigation results, it is determined that the student status of these graduates should be cancelled.

The reporter further inquired about the operation authority for registration, cancellation and review of student status. The staff of the Student Office stated that the entry and cancellation of student status are all operated by the school, and the specific verification of this information and student personnel is actually done by the school.

The staff of the Letters and Visits Office of the Henan Provincial Department of Education also stated that if graduates have doubts about the school’s enrollment methods, they can go to the court to sue or report the matter.

The reporter also met Xin Xuefeng, assistant to the principal and former director of the admissions office, at Shangqiu Institute of Technology.

Faced with the question of whether there is a large-scale "imposter" situation in the school, Xin Xuefeng did not admit or deny it, but said that "fake is fake", and the school will cancel the student's enrollment as soon as it finds out.

Regarding more information, he said, "I don't know and need to know more."

Xin Xuefeng was the director of the school's admissions office and participated in the admissions at the time.

But he told reporters that he did not participate in the specific work that year, these are "historical issues left over from the school."

Now, a practical problem facing Yue Shaorui and others is that the Education Department has determined that they have problems. If they want to prove that it is a collective operation by the school, they need to come up with a specific list to prove that it is a collective operation.

This is very difficult for them.

"We did not steal other people's identity information from beginning to end. We only enrolled with our original name on the admission notice. Until we changed our name under the persecution of the school, the ID number was still our own. We did not pretend to replace others from beginning to end. Subjective intentions," she said.

A week ago, Lu Ming told Yue Shaorui that the Nanyang police in Henan Province found him and learned about his situation when he was enrolled.

This gave Yue Shaorui new hope. She hoped that the government can investigate the "historical issues" that the school said clearly.
