The Covid-19 epidemic continues to progress in Brittany. In an attempt to stem this growth in the number of cases, the Regional Health Agency is increasing its testing campaigns. In Rennes, it asked the Alma center, the largest shopping center in the metropolis, to host a mobile screening unit. The objective is twofold. First of all, to increase the region's testing capacity, but also to "reach out to other populations" by making itself visible on the forecourt of the commercial center.

The screening unit will be open this Monday August 31 and Tuesday September 1 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the parking lot of the Alma center, at the foot of the tower. It is accessible without an appointment and free of charge to anyone wishing to be tested.

A lower positivity rate in Brittany

From August 17 to 23, 39,000 tests were carried out in Brittany with a positivity rate of 1.8%. In Ille-et-Vilaine over the same period, 8,500 tests were recorded with a positivity rate of 1.6%. The national average is currently around 4%.
