The director of the Etihad Museum, Abdullah bin Masem Al Falasi, said that the design of the museum is inspired by the shape of a paper, representing the agreement that was signed in 1971, with seven columns representing the pens used to sign it .. while the museum’s identity was inspired by the colors of the state’s national flag, its federal identity, and its Emirates Seven.

He added that the museum includes many facilities and equipment, including: internal facilities, including the theater, which includes 120 seats, designated for events, temporary exhibitions, conferences and various programs, and the Union Museum library, which includes 3000 titles, in addition to magazines, brochures, audio CDs, and others, and the educational section or educational halls. .

As for the museum’s outer yard, it includes the guest house, and since the Union Museum is built under the ground, it is linked to a wing to enter the guest house, which is above and outside the museum, and it has been restored and restored and re-fittings and furnishings in accordance with the original state, and the landscapes surrounding the historical site have been restored to their previous state. As it was in 1971, the palace contains, next to it, the majlis of Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, its private office, and the hospitality suite (dining room), which accommodates 300 people.

«Union House»

As for "Union House", it is concerned with the widespread identification of all its historical significance, being the point that witnessed the first moments of the official birth of the UAE at the hands of the founding fathers. This historic house is preceded by its reception building by a few meters, and this building is distinguished by its engineering design The arched, as if embracing the Union House, which is designed with its circular geometry, and the Union House building, which witnessed the signing of the document establishing the UAE federation in 1971, was restored to its original form with the introduction of structural improvements.

The museum carries an important historical value, through meetings with a member of the advisory board of the Union House Museum, where the flag around which the founding leaders gathered, after they signed the state union document.
