A first in Paris. A drive-in concert is scheduled for September 12, with a target of 500 spectators in 125 vehicles, the organizers announced on Monday.

A dozen artists from the hip-hop scene are planned, including the headliners PLK - which has just released a new album, Enna  - Leto, which has also just released 100 faces , and Hamza, emerging talent in rap. Belgian who collaborated on the last title of Lous and the Yakuza, Laisse moi .

First come, first served

The concert is scheduled from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. (arrival of vehicles from 4 p.m.), at the Paris Event Center, Porte de la Villette, in the 19th arrondissement of Paris, on a 3,500 m2 esplanade, in the open air. This show is free, on registration here on a first come, first served basis, since places are limited. The concert will also be broadcast live in streaming on the Radar platform, a springboard for the urban music scene and sponsor of the event.

The other musical genres have already tried the drive-in formula. Suzane, a leading figure in the chanson-electro scene, took part this weekend in a concert in front of cars at the Chaux aerodrome, near Belfort. And the Montreal Symphony Orchestra gave a performance at the beginning of August in front of 500 cars parked in the parking lot of an international airport in the city, with Beethoven, Ravel and Mozart, between two takeoffs.
