More fear than harm for the young man in his twenties stuck 110 meters underground on Saturday at around 6 p.m. While practicing caving, the man fell in the Aven de Cappuccino in the town of Gourdon (Alpes-Maritimes).

Slightly injured, he was rescued this Sunday, after eight hours of interventions, according to information from Nice-Matin .

A large-scale relief operation

The rescue of the young man required the intervention of 40 firefighters, fifteen vehicles and about fifteen rescuers specializing in perilous environments.

The man was finally extracted, early this Sunday morning, after eight hours of intervention. Although tired, the young man was not hospitalized.
