A new horse discovered mutilated in the Bouches-du-Rhône. The animal was discovered this Sunday morning with an ear notched on eight centimeters, confirms the prefecture of police of Bouches-du-Rhône at 20 minutes , confirming information from Provence . He was in his enclosure at the edge of a departmental road, north of the town of Istres.
The prefecture is unable to confirm the origin of the injury, "verifications remain to be carried out". It could be a new act of cruelty to an equine while several attacks have taken place on other animals for several weeks.
Two other animals were found mutilated this Saturday in a meadow in Droiturier (Allier) and in Mirbel (Jura). A mare was discovered disembowelled in the Vaucluse on August 23. But it's still too early to relate these injuries to other attacks.
