[Explanation] Recently, Beijing's universities, middle and elementary schools have opened one after another. It is reported that after the start of school, the normal education and teaching order will be restored in Beijing primary and secondary schools, and all courses such as physical education and experimental courses will be fully opened.

From a long-term "home" home to the beginning of campus life, what kind of exercise should students take after returning to school to adapt to the changes in the environment? In response to this issue of public concern, Li Xuemei, a teacher at the School of Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation of Beijing Sport University, answered questions.

In the case of an epidemic that takes too long, cardiopulmonary functions are declining. If you start an exercise rashly, it is equivalent to a biological model being interrupted and changed, which may bring about a temporary decline in immunity.

From ordinary walking to brisk walking to stride walking, the (exercise intensity) is gradually increasing, which is a safer cut-in mode. For the students, jogging is also a more suitable form of activity in the early stages of sports.

[Explanation] Earlier, when deploying autumn school work, Beijing stated that teachers and students should insist on wearing masks on campus. Among them, teachers and students of universities, middle schools and primary schools still need to wear masks on campus. Outdoor activities do not need to wear a mask under the premise of no gathering or contact.

Li Xuemei also gave suggestions for the scene of students wearing masks for sports activities.

(Indoor) We need to control the intensity of the exercise with masks, and try to do some exercises that do not increase the speed and depth of breathing too much, then we can do some static, light-weight strength training. Then the amplitude and intensity of the movement and the frequency should not be too fast or too large. At this time, the stimulation of our respiratory system will not be too strong, this is relatively safe.

[Explanation] Li Xuemei also stated that schools should also develop different physical education plans for students of different ages.

For children (lower grade students), (physical education) should add some fun and participate more in some games. One is to allow them to adapt physiologically to the stimulation of this exercise intensity, and the second is to distract him through the game mode. Don’t put too much attention on the exercise intensity, but feel the exercise. happy.

[Commentary] Li Xuemei said that under the epidemic, people are more aware of the importance of physical health. Therefore, I also hope that all schools will carry out good sports activities so that every student can benefit from physical exercise.
