In the midst of the coronavirus epidemic, the prefecture of Creuse took an order this Saturday banning all musical “festive gatherings” on its territory to prevent the possible holding of one or more rave parties.

"According to the available and consistent information, one or more festive musical gatherings that can bring together several thousand participants are likely to take place" between Saturday 29 and Monday August 31 in this rural department, explains the prefecture in its decree.

Discos closed for six months

In the “current health context (…), this type of gathering does not allow (…) a respect for barrier gestures for the participants and makes the creation of a contamination cluster likely”, she justifies.

With the health crisis, several prefectures have multiplied this summer the orders to avoid the holding of rave parties and other wild outdoor parties while discos have been closed for six months.
