He is suspected of having acted to prevent her from reporting him. The septuagenarian suspected of having killed a psychologist, Wednesday in Annecy (Haute-Savoie), recognized the fatal shot, according to the prosecution which specifies that the victim was preparing to accuse the suspect of sexual assault.

"Aged 75, the alleged perpetrator has never been convicted (...) He acknowledges having come to the scene of the facts and recognizes the shot", announced in a statement the public prosecutor Véronique Denizot .

Not followed by the psychologist and "free from any mental pathology", the suspect would have, according to the first elements of the investigation, acted because of "a worrying information (report) considered by the victim for ten days and written the day before the facts, ”added the magistrate.

Informed as part of its consultations

This information, which is based on elements collected by the psychologist in a professional setting, implicates the suspect "for acts of a sexual nature committed on a minor of fifteen years in the family", said the prosecutor.

The custody of the septuagenarian, married and father of two, was extended on Thursday. He must be presented to an investigating judge on Friday for his indictment.

The psychologist, in her thirties and mother of an 18-month-old child, hit in the head, was declared dead early Wednesday afternoon. She worked, like her spouse, in the office where the facts took place Wednesday morning in the city center of Annecy.
