His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, congratulated Emirati women on the occasion of “Emirati Women's Day”, which falls on August 28 of each year.

His Highness said in a tweet on “Twitter”: “On Emirati Women's Day ... we congratulate our mothers, sisters and daughters on this occasion, and we are proud of their donations in the family and society, their sacrifices and their role in our qualitative national achievements, and their standing within the front lines to confront the (Corona) challenge, and we affirm that empowering women It will remain a key priority. ”
His Highness released a video reviewing the role of Emirati women in the development process and the great efforts and sacrifices that they made in different stages of the UAE's history.
The UAE celebrates Emirati Women’s Day this year under the slogan “Planning for the Fifty-Year ... Women are Support for the Homeland”, based on the directives of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, President of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation.
“Emirati Women's Day” this year coincides with the remarkable achievements of the UAE in terms of sustainable development and future foresight, as well as its active contribution to efforts to address the repercussions of the spread of the new Corona virus (Covid-19), and to transform this fateful challenge into opportunities for creativity and development.
