The release of The King's Man , the prequel to the two Kingsman spy films, has been postponed by Disney to 2021. The film was originally planned to hit theaters in September.

According to Variety , the release date in America has been moved to February 26, 2021. Due to the uncertainties surrounding the corona crisis, Disney probably does not want to take any risks and it has therefore been decided to postpone the release by half a year.

Disney has already delayed several major movies due to the pandemic. For example, the live action version of Mulan would be shown in the summer, but the film will be available in September via streaming service Disney +.

It is not the first time that The King's Man has been postponed. The film was originally planned to premiere in November 2019. This was later rescheduled for less than a year.

Rocketman actor Taron Egerton played the lead in the first two Kingsman films. He will not be returning for the third part, which is again directed by Matthew Vaughn. Gemma Arterton, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Matthew Goode and Ralph Fiennes star.
