Several cases of Covid-19 have been detected among the staff of the McDonald's restaurant in Baillargues (Hérault), a town near Montpellier.

The press service of the fast-food chain confirmed to 20 Minutes the information, published by Midi Libre . If the regional daily indicates that seven cases are true, McDonald's denies, but does not wish to specify the number.

"Complete disinfection"

The restaurant "was instantly the subject of complete disinfection", indicates the restaurant chain and "the teams identified as contact cases are subject to tests and isolation procedures planned". "Thus, the Baillargues restaurant is taking the initiative to concentrate its activity, until further notice, in drive to respond to the temporary decrease in staff", continues the press service of McDonald's.

The channel recalls that the staff are equipped with masks and have been trained in barrier measures and the reinforced cleaning plan. Employees work, continues McDonald's, "in small numbers to avoid crossings", and "precise marking on the ground and a physical barrier guide them to maintain the distance of 1m minimum".
