According to the city of Yokohama, etc., on the evening of the 25th, at the construction site of a park in Nagahama, Kanazawa-ku, Yokohama, the whereabouts of a man in his 60s who was working on loading embankment disappeared along with the heavy machinery he was operating.

The site is the former site of the Koshiba Oil Storage Facility, which was used as a fuel storage base by the former Japanese Navy and the U.S. Army.According to previous investigations, it was used to store fuel. It was found that a part of the lid of the meter underground tank had collapsed.

The city believes that a man has fallen into an underground tank along with heavy equipment from this area, and police and fire departments are continuing to search today while confirming the safety of the site.

After the Koshiba Oil Storage Facility was returned in 2005, the construction of the park was decided, and the work to bring in the embankment began this May.
