Is the job at Shuobo Sub-district in Qingbei the local "high-level" talent "low-level"?

  Qingbei graduates put aside the burden of prestigious schools and devote themselves to the grassroots to show their talents. This is a sign of the gradual autonomy and maturity of career choices; and the courage and confidence of grassroots departments to go to Qingbei and other first-class universities to grab talents is also an innovation in the employment system of public officials in my country.

  Tsinghua Peking University has swiped the screen again, and a recruitment announcement in Yuhang District, Hangzhou has been hotly searched. In this long list of announcements, all graduates from Tsinghua Peking University. One of the most eye-catching is that the eight local offices, including Yunhe Street, all enrolled masters or doctors from Tsinghua and Peking University. Many people question whether this will be overkill? Someone asked, the masters and PhDs of prestigious schools are so "worthless"?

  In fact, this is a bit wronged by Yuhang's recruitment, and it is also ignorant of the facts.

  Let me start with the question of whether it is overkill. Those who know Yuhang recruitment know that they took the initiative to recruit high-level talents at Tsinghua and Peking University as early as 2017. At that time, they provided a total of 100 positions for Tsinghua and Peking University, and finally 76 people reported. It was also in those two years that Yuhang District, through the development of a digital economy, achieved overtaking on curves, surpassing the industrial town of Xiaoshan in one fell swoop, and became the number one in the economic development of Zhejiang districts and counties.

  According to the data, in 2019, Yuhang District has newly recognized 444 national high-tech enterprises, the total number has exceeded 1,000 for the first time, the total number of listed companies has reached 25, the total number of listed companies on the New Third Board has reached 65, and the headquarters of the Internet giant Alibaba is located in Yuhang Wuchang Streets (also listed as recruiting streets).

  It can be seen that, although the work in the street office from Qingbei Shuobo to Yuhang is indeed at the grassroots level, it is also one of the most cutting-edge core areas for the development of Internet technology in my country. The requirements for planning and management are not low. For relevant applicants, this is not only a rare job opportunity, but also an opportunity to learn and improve in a high-quality, high-level environment.

  What's more, job selection and employment are originally "private affairs", and there is no such thing as a job to be regarded as "full of talents". It cannot be said that the masters and doctors in Qingbei are only suitable for "high-end careers" such as scientific research. Applying what I have learned to real urban development practices, and even providing Yuhang samples for the entire country's urbanization construction, is not a "small use".

  As for the argument that Shuobo is "worthless", it is even more untenable. According to reports, in terms of the conditions for recruiting Qingbei and other masters in Yuhang District in 2019, whether it is recruiting local public institutions, senior employees of government departments, and senior staff of state-owned enterprises, they all have a good salary.

  For example, for personnel recruited to public institutions, for those who meet the conditions, they are hired as middle-level chief and deputy positions of the recruiting unit, and they are entitled to performance pay according to the standards of deputy division and middle-level chief positions. The maximum annual salary can also reach 500,000. In addition, there are tens of thousands of subsidies for living and resettlement, and you can apply for free use of the talent apartments that you can stay in with your bags, as well as housing rental subsidies and house purchase subsidies. Moreover, Yuhang also formulated a "one person, one policy" training program. These high-end talents are basically party and government reserve talents. In the future, they will also enter Hangzhou and Zhejiang to become the mainstays of various departments.

  Therefore, in many respects, this is considered a good choice, and it is not a "low job". Qingbei graduates put aside the burden of prestigious schools and began to practice at the grassroots level. This is not only a way to serve the society and realize self-worth, but also a sign of the gradual autonomy and maturity of career choices. The grassroots units dare to go to Qingbei and other first-class universities to grab talents, and they have the courage to offer generous salaries. This is also an innovation in the employment system of public officials in my country.

  In the final analysis, no matter what kind of work is, it is the mutual achievement of individuals and platforms. For these grassroots cadres with the aura of prestigious schools, it is more important to show their talents through pragmatic work and truly serve social development.

  As far as society is concerned, we must also dispel the stereotypes of prestigious schools and the prejudice against the grassroots: Don’t be inverted by the “high educational background” of Tsinghua University, Peking University and the “low administrative level” of the street office. To reach the conclusion of "talent mismatch", then it is likely to be biased and one-sided.
