In keeping with the state’s celebrations of “Emirati Women's Day”, which falls on August 28 of each year, the Dubai Women’s Foundation announced the launch of the “Virtual Dubai Dialogues for Women,” which is a series of new knowledge seminars organized via the Internet, with the aim of enhancing awareness of the role and opportunities for women's participation in Various sectors, with the participation of prominent personalities at the local and international levels, including ministers, officials, leaders from the government and private sectors, and business leaders.

Sarah Al-Amiri, Minister of State for Advanced Technology, Head of the UAE Space Agency and the leader of the scientific team of the Emirates Mars Exploration Project, "The Hope Probe", will open these sessions today, as she will talk about the achievements of women in the space sector and their role in the national project, the Hope Probe, which was launched. The sessions of the “Dubai Virtual Dialogues for Women” deal with a number of issues related to women, reviewing inspiring personal experiences, with the opportunity to participate in the dialogue, including women and decision-making, women's economic participation, balance between work and family life, women's mental health, women and dealing with crises. She added: “The dialogues will also contribute to building strong relationships with ambitious female leaders inside and outside the country, emphasizing their key role in the economy and government, early intervention and crisis management, and opportunities to strengthen the remote work system in the future, after they have proven successful during the (Covid-19) crisis). By taking advantage of the advanced technical infrastructure in the Emirates, ”noting that“ the outcomes of these sessions will be used to enrich the contents of the research conducted by the Dubai Women's Foundation, within the axes of its strategic plan. ”

Women entrepreneurs

In addition to the participation of ministers and officials, a session will be devoted to women entrepreneurs, in which they review their work experiences during the "Covid-19" crisis, and the extent of benefiting from the experience and ways to develop projects as an added value in the national economy.

The Executive Director of the Dubai Women Establishment indicated that this initiative, which aims to enhance awareness of the role and opportunities for women's participation in various fields and the implications of the "Covid-19" crisis on this role, and the exchange of opinion, knowledge and experiences between the speakers and participants, reflects the important role of the Foundation in support of the women's file. The topics that will be discussed in the series of seminars are in line with the main objectives adopted by the Dubai Foundation for Women within its business strategy, foremost of which is increasing the participation of Emiratis in economic, social and political life, as the strategy includes four pillars: the development and implementation of targeted and specifically designed programs to support the participation of Emirati women, It adopts special policies to increase their participation in the work sectors, and implement strategic partnerships with all supportive bodies and bodies from the public and private sectors capable of making a qualitative leap in the women's file, with Emirati women being represented in international forums, in addition to developing research databases and reports on women's affairs.
