According to the official Weibo news of the Shandong Provincial Health Commission, from 0:00 to 24:00 on August 20, there were no local hospitalized suspected or confirmed cases in Shandong. A total of 763 confirmed cases, 7 deaths, and 756 cured and discharged were reported.
Shandong has no new suspected imported cases. Qingdao City reported 2 confirmed imported cases from the Philippines (both returned from asymptomatic infections), and Jinan reported 1 confirmed imported case from Kazakhstan. A total of 64 confirmed imported cases overseas have been reported. 1 new case was cured and discharged, and 38 cases were cured and discharged.
Qingdao City reported 1 case of asymptomatic infection imported from Russia. 21 cases of asymptomatic infections (all imported from abroad) were being isolated and treated in the province, and 1 case was discharged.
A total of 24,710 close contacts have been traced, and 930 people are still under medical isolation and observation.
