Every summer, for almost 150 years, the small town of Bayreuth, in southern Germany, has performed to the music of Richard Wagner. Built to plans by the composer himself, the Festspielhaus in Bayreuth has unique acoustics in the world and attracts thousands of Wagnerians every year. RFI dedicates to this festival one of the "imaginary meetings" that you find every Friday on our antennas throughout the summer.
