The autumn on SVT offers, among other things, a documentary about how the phenomenon "Greta" arose. The film follows Greta Thunberg from the first, lone strikes to a royal reception in New York.

Another series that learns to gather audiences is The Swedish Dance Band History, which delves into both the beloved and despised genre, and the strong relationship many have with it. Nordic drama and portrayals of workers

On the drama side, you can see the joint Nordic initiative that SVT has been part of together with other Nordic public service companies since 2018. Among this year's series is, for example, the Danish family story Vargen comes about how a young girl splits the family when she accuses her stepfather of violence in a school essay. and the Finnish political thriller The Peace Broker on International Arms Trade and Peace Negotiations.

This autumn's major Swedish initiative is called White wall and takes place in northern Sweden. The starting point for the thriller series is an accident where three workers die in a mysterious explosion accident deep down in a mine shaft.

Among the autumn offerings are also portrayals of workers: in the documentary series Midwives, everyday life is depicted in a maternity ward and the series Beloved cow shit follows the farmers' tough reality in Tornedalen.

The melody festival will be over

The corona pandemic has made it very difficult for SVT, especially with regard to the investments with live audiences. How the Melodifestivalen can be carried out is still unclear, but it will be by 2021, says SVT's CEO Hanna Stjärne in SVT's morning studio. She also says that SVT is investing extra in the target group of teenagers right now.
