  According to the Propaganda Department of Yunnan Yanjin County Party Committee, on August 18, a landslide occurred in Huangping Village, Pu'er Town, Yanjin County, Zhaotong City, Yunnan, causing two houses living in the area to be buried. As of 10 a.m. on August 19, The rescue team has searched and rescued 3 people, of which 2 were killed and 1 injured. There are still 3 people missing.

  After the disaster, the emergency, natural resources, public security, armed police and other departments rushed to the scene to carry out rescue work. After preliminary investigation, the cause of the landslide accident was caused by continuous heavy rainfall in recent days, and the landslide volume was about 50,000 cubic meters. At present, rescue work is proceeding in an intense and orderly manner.

  In addition, affected by this heavy rainfall, a mountain flood broke out in Zhenggou Village, Pu'er Town, Yanjin County, causing the Xiluodu Hydropower Station’s external dedicated road K41+600M (Daluliangzi Tunnel in the Yanjin Section) to be interrupted in both directions and heading to Yongshan County and Leibo County, Sichuan The vehicles in the area are temporarily impassable, and surrounding houses, vehicles, and highway guardrails have been damaged to varying degrees.
