On the afternoon of August 17, a large oil tank floated from the upstream to the Guangyuan section of the Jialing River in Sichuan. Various departments of Guangyuan City worked together. 16 hours later, this potential accident was successfully dealt with. At 22:12 on August 16, Guangyuan City received a report from Chaotian District: A large oil tank drifted towards Shaanxi, which had passed the Yangpingguan area of the Jialing River and was floating along the current to the Guangyuan area of the Jialing River. Subsequently, the Guangyuan City Production Safety Emergency Rescue Detachment dispatched 8 people and a vehicle to carry lights to ensure that the special police sank the large floating oil tanks on the river. At around 9 am on the 17th, the oil tank floated to the Baiyan Dam section of the Jialing River, and rescuers rushed to the scene to salvage. Because the oil tank is large, weighing about 8 tons, and the passing route is blocked by many trees, rescuers braved the heavy rain to salvage. With the help of surrounding villagers, the oil tank was successfully salvaged ashore at 15:30 on the 17th to avoid endangering the downstream Baocheng Railway and the Xicheng High-speed Railway.
