Off the Senkaku 4 ships of the China Sea Police Department escalate territorial waters but strengthen caution, including fishing boats August 17 13:14

On the morning of the 17th, off the Senkaku Islands in Okinawa Prefecture, four ships of the China Coast Guard that invaded the territorial waters of Japan left the territorial waters approximately one and a half hours later and continue to navigate the connected waters. On the other hand, after the end of the closed fishing season established by the Chinese government, the Coast Guard Headquarters has become more cautious because there are Chinese fishing boats operating in the surrounding area and some of them are within the connected waters.

According to the 11th Regional Coast Guard Headquarters, around 9:30 am on the 17th, four ships of the Chinese Coast Guard invaded the territorial waters of Japan off the coast of Minamikojima, the Senkaku Islands.

The four vessels had left the territorial waters about an hour and a half later, but they are still navigating in the waters connected, and the Coast Guard continues to warn and monitor.

It is the 16th time since the beginning of this month that the Chinese National Police Department has invaded the waters around the Senkaku Islands.

On the other hand, the fishing ban established by the Chinese government in the East China Sea has ended, and as of 7:00 am on the 17th, six Chinese fishing boats are operating around the connected waters on the Senkaku Islands, and some of them are in the connected waters. Therefore, the Coast Guard Headquarters is increasing caution.

Under these circumstances, we were able to confirm that a dedicated ship for security such as the patrol boat "Kabira" departed from Ishigaki Port, the closest base of the Japan Coast Guard from the Senkaku Islands, on the morning of the 17th.
