　　Since the beginning of July, Jiangxi, a province in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, has been hit by continuous heavy rains. Numerous rivers and Poyang Lake within the territory have experienced numbered floods and over-warning floods. The water levels at multiple sites have even exceeded the guaranteed level, over 1998, and over history.

　　Facing the catastrophic flood of Poyang Lake, Jiangxi started to use single-return dike for flood diversion in an orderly manner. According to data disclosed by the Jiangxi Provincial Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters, as of 11:00 on August 14, a total of 213 flood dikes have entered the Yangtze River and Poyang Lake areas. Among them, there are 185 single-return dikes in the lake area, 17 single-return dikes on the Yangtze River, and 11 other dikes.
